Freja Svensson is an independent casting director, directors assistant and photographer specialising in film, television, and commercials. With a foundation in photography and film production, she has served in roles ranging from director and editor to photographer. After completing her bachelor's degree in digital media, she has contributed to numerous productions in diverse capacities, with a particular emphasis on talent scouting for film projects.  

In recent years, she has notably been involved in casting for films such as "The Pig from Turkey," "Favours", and the Guldbaggen-nominated short films "Däck 5b" and "Madden". As of lately she has also casted series  "Alla andra kan dra åt helvete" and commercials.

She employs various techniques in her casting process, including street casting in authentic environments. Given Sweden's relatively small size, the pool of faces on conventional casting platforms can often feel saturated. Hence, street casting offers a fresh approach, allowing for the discovery of unique talent outside the conventional channels.

While Freja spent her formative years on Hisingen, an island in Gothenburg, she is currently based in Stockholm.
